More than a film studio, we are a movement.
And we want to leave the world better than we found it.

MOVE is a Social Impact Media Lab, a branch from 2000Ciclos Audiovisuais, created in 2022.

After 20 years of experience in television and corporate, we felt it was time to take our content a step further and contribute to the improvement of our community, our society and our world.

Many of the film-industry professionals work as freelancers, in an industry where they have to stand next to big corporations that have decades of experience and a vast solid network.

MOVE as a laboratory, not only gives these professionals a ground to stand on and the opportunity to explore new concepts and ideas, it also offers a network of impact makers in different geographies, connecting them to people that are passionate about the same topics.

MOVE offers you the expertise in different areas from writing to direction, from digital communication to executive production.

MOVE offers you a team.

Impact is change: in the film making context, impact stands for social and cultural change that has been sparked by content and its associated campaign strategy.

Attention is the currency of today.

Television and film have always addressed social issues. They have the power to change points of views and behaviours and to get people to care about issues on a deeply personal level. The reach and influence of the media is powerful and can be used as a tool for advancing impact priorities.

Great storytelling inspires change.

Documentary storytelling, unlike most news and social media, can guide the spectator into an immersive journey, providing the time to build empathy or foster a deeper understanding.  They tell the story of real people, allowing audiences to make the connection between broader issues or ideas and people’s lives.  The audience is often changed by the experience.  A compelling story is the base for raising awareness, creating engagement, leading to a stronger movement and ultimately, social change.

“Film is incredibly democratic and accessible, it’s probably the best option if you actually want to change the world, not just redecorate it.”

— Banksy

We impact with our films

Media is a powerful transformational tool. We believe in crafting incredible, immersive, unconventional content that inspires social change and ignites movement.

MOVE is an Impact Media organisation focused on the intersection of film and social change. We’re on a mission to craft striking videos that faithfully bring out the magic and the truth in stories, allowing them to impact their world.

Content production

Impact Strategy

Developing strategies that adopt film storytelling as a tool for impact.

Innovation

Advancing impact that builds up value across film lifecycles.

Creativity

Celebrating creativity as a problem solving tool and challenging impact makers to take it up a notch.

Co-Production

Empowering art to foster change, through impact partnerships and collaborations.

Exploration

Our lab is an open invitation to the world, where a new generation of impact producers is invited to collaborate, experiment and explore new paths.

We believe in the power of sharing stories.
With radical truth. Radical inclusion. Radical acceptance.
Full on, all in.

As a Social Impact Media Lab we hold a vision with two elements:

The Art Vision

the intrinsic vision for the film and how it will be.

The Impact Vision

the extrinsic vision for what the film will do and how it will contribute to shaping the world.

But before we impact the world with our films…

We believe changing the world starts in our own backyard. In every gesture, in every step we take, we take into account the impact it will have in the world around us. That’s why we follow the Green Shooting Portugal guidelines for sustainable filming, aiming to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

We support activists, content creators, educators, pioneers and changemakers that are in the vanguard of social change in advancing worldwide awareness, social justice, human rights and education.

We are the video alchemists, the impact makers, the pathfinders, the poets and the dreamers.

We believe ideas are best when shared and improved together.

We work with creators in a collaborative way, from a network spread across different geographies, assuring artists and social entrepreneurs are the lead voices in the room.

MOVE is also a laboratory, training a new generation of Impact Producers and Filmmakers.
